Let's be real, there are people who love stripes and there are people who don't. One thing I do know is that vertical stripes are definitely the way to go! They elongate your body and have a fun graphic appeal. (I think this dress has converted me!)
This 1950's sundress is stripe perfection! Semi-sheer, lightweight cotton is ideal for hot summers. Sleeveless design with half button-down front. Two chest pockets in contrasting stripe direction. White, embroidered eyelet detail on pockets and at top of shoulders.
The stripes on this dress have been handprinted. I'm not sure if by screen or block, but I love the human touch of inconsistencies on the printed areas. It's really beautiful and special. Under right arm, there is a patch in material, but stripes have been re-established and blends in nicely. (See image below)
Note: Slip recommended
Waist w/o tie 36" - can be cinched smaller with waist tie
(Looks like waist used to be elastic, but it has fully stretched out from age.)
